OSCAR S. PEARCE
YOUNGSVILLE - Oscar S. Pearce, 90, formerly of 966 NC Hwy 96 East, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006 at Blue Ridge Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 22) at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Lizzie Jackson Pearce and Oscar Clyde Pearce and was a retired farmer.

Surviving: his daughter, Linda P. Perry (Linwood) of Raleigh; sons, David Pearce of Wake Forest and Larry W. Pearce (Deborah) of Youngsville; sister, Lois Bailey of Rolesville; brother, Leroy Pearce of Wake Forest; half sisters, Alice Faye Rice of Zebulon and Betty Rogers of Bunn; half brother, Oris Pearce of Wendell; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hicks Pearce; sister, Ruthie Perry, and by his brothers, Arthur Pearce, Richard Pearce, James Pearce and Charles Jackson.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1487 NC Hwy 96 East, Youngsville, NC 27596.
