ELSIE M. PUCKETT
September 19, 1925 – April 12, 2012
LOUISBURG – Elsie Milton Puckett, 86, of Louisburg, passed away Thursday night surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Puckett was a daughter of the late Willie and Ethel Blackwell Milton. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Puckett; daughter, Paulette Puckett; sisters, Mae Parham, Lena Blackwell, Lettie Holder; brother, Roy Milton.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Hill King U.M.C. with the Rev. Rhonda Maurer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Puckett is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda P. and Gerald Edwards; son, Wade Puckett, all of Louisburg; sisters, Sadie Blackwell of Oxford, Daisy Frazier of Stovall, Katherine Johnson and Florence Gupton, both of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Jessica and Phillip Edwards, Christy and Mitch Puckett; great-granddaughter, Gracie Wright; numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hill King U.M.C. U.M.W. Fund, 1989 NC 39 Hwy. S., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
