MARVIN J. WOODCOCK
FRANKLINTON —Marvin Woodcock, 73, died Sunday, May 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

He owned and operated Wilson and Cofield Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, Layton and Henrietta Woodcock; wife, Patricia Woodcock; and one grandson.

Surviving: wife, Betty Holmes Woodcock; children, Cathy Kirk (Clyda), Barbara Holley (Bill) and Mark Woodcock (Michelle); brothers, Willie Woodcock (Georgia) and Layton Woodcock (Jane); stepchild, Wally Holmes (Joyce); four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or to the Flat Rock Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 1529 Flat Rock Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest.
