JEAN R. KING
ZEBULON - Jean Rice King, 82, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. in the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow in the King family cemetery, Doyle Road, Zebulon.

She was born in Franklin County to the late James Madison Rice and Folsom Frances Young Rice. She was a homemaker and worked on the farm.

Surviving: daughter, Lucy K. Perry; sons, Willie Ben King Jr. (Alma), W. Larry King (Cathy), W. Skeat King (Vivian), W. Tillie King (Sheila), all of Zebulon; brother, Louis Rice of Zebulon; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ben King Sr.; brothers, Spencer Rice and Tillman Rice; and a sister, Elizabeth Chappell.
