JESSIE H. STEGALL
HENDERSON - Jessie Ruth Hayes Stegall, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 5, at New Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Adam. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Otha Lee Hayes Sr. and Gertie Dickerson Hayes, and was the widow of Allie Nathaniel Stegall Sr. Mrs. Stegall was a homemaker.

Surviving: sons, Jerry L. Stegall and Wayne Stegall, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Allie N. Stegall Jr.; a sister, Elizabeth H. Renn; and two brothers, James Furman Hayes and Otha Lee Hayes Jr.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, c/o Debra Woodlief, 1149 Massenburg Road, Henderson, N.C. 27537.
