BARBARA U. AYSCUE
July 24, 1941 – December 8, 2012
LOUISBURG – Barbara Marie Underwood Ayscue, 71, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning.

Barbara was a daughter of the late Marshell William and Wanda Marie Walker Underwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Ayscue, Jr.; sister, Shirley U. Roberts; brother, Dean Underwood; great-grand-daughter, Allyssa Miller.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Burgess officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery.

Barbara is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David Ayscue and Fiance, Stacy Dowdy of Butner, Shane and Jackie Ayscue of Louisburg, Robert N. Ayscue, III; daughter and son-in-law, Starr and Allen Kirkman, all of Randleman; grandchildren, Holly Allen, Emily P. Ayscue, Zachary Ayscue, Robbie Ayscue, Devin Ayscue, and Jessica Miller; great-grandson, Gavin Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1699 Weldon’s Mill Rd., Henderson, NC 27537.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net, and other times at the home of Shane and Jackie Ayscue.
