Brenda was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend to anyone that she had the opportunity to come in contact with. She attended Franklinton High School and later retired from the Franklin County Department of Social Services as a receptionist. She loved working with and caring for people. She is also survived by her nieces, Kimberly Edwards, Jannelle Pizzola, Manette Osifchin and Trina DeLauter; and two very special friends, Linda Grogan and Alicia Pearce. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Todd Morton.

A Funeral Service will be offered at 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 E. Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Friends visited from 6:00 - 8:00 on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
