FREDERICK H. ELLINGTON
ZEBULON - Frederick Horton Ellington, 67, died at home early Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 2013. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 8, at Zebulon Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Horton Cemetery with military honors.

He was born in Wake County and graduated from Wakelon High School. He graduated from North Carolina State University on May 31, 1999 with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served  four years in the U. S. Army, rising to the rank of captain.

He was employed at CP&L (now Progress Energy) where he worked as a safety specialist for 30 years. Upon retirement, he co-founded Ellington Contractors with his sons, David and Matt, where he managed day-to-day activities.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Delaven Ellington, and mother, Dorothy Horton Ellington, and his late wife, Brenda Arnold Ellington.

Surviving: wife, Mary Gail Partin Ellington; children, David Ellington (Linda) of Zebulon, Matthew Ellington (Susan) of Zebulon, Paulsen Arnold (Kristi) of Greenville, Michael Ellington (Lisa) of Wilson, Chris Partin (Dawn) of Raleigh, Melisssa Heath (Jeremy) of Garner;  and 10 grandchildren.

Flowers welcome or donations to the Zebulon Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
