WAKE FOREST - Lottie Harris Carter, 98, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at her home. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 5, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Helen Champion officiating. Burial followed in the Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery.

She was born to the late Charlie and Cara Harris of Franklin County. She was a member of Wake Forest United Methodist Church.

Surviving: sons, C. J. (Bea) Carter of Raleigh and Oren (Elsie) Carter of Wake Forest; one daughter, Jewell (Tom) Morris of Wake Forest; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased two two sons, Dewitt and Charlie, and by her daughter, Evelyn.
