WILLIE A. TURNAGE
LOUISBURG - Willie Alvin Turnage, 84, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at his home. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 21) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, Knightdale. The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service.

He was born in Johnston County to the late William David Turnage and Lonnie Mae Johnson Turnage.

Surviving: wife, Elizabeth Vause Turnage; sons, Robert (Debbie) Turnage, Willie Turnage, William “Billy” Turnage, all of Rolesville, Donald Turnage and Kim Nelson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughters, Barbara Vasquez of Phoenix, Ariz., Diana (Fred) Brannan of Wilmington, Emma (Robin) Ray of Louisburg; brother, Henry Lee Turnage of Wendell; sister, Gertrude Grice of Louisburg; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Houtty, James and Noah; sisters, Carrie and Annie.

Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Worship Center Church of God Building Fund, 7428 Pearces Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
