LUTHER DENTON
CLAYTON - Luther Denton, 84, died Sunday, March 18, 2007. at The Oaks of Carolina Nursing Home. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 20, at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel, Raleigh, with the Rev. Howard Hoyle officiating. Interment was in Montlawn Memorial Park.

He retired from the City of Raleigh after 25 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving: his wife, Edna Denton; sons, Luther Jr. (Dottie) Benton, Benny (Linda) Denton of Garner; daughter, Judy (C. H.) Hoyle of Wake Forest; sisters, Annie Florence Morton and Lula Bobbitt, both of Franklinton, and Violet Woodlief of Wake Forest; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
