LOUISE BROWN GARRETT
April 22, 1937 - October 23, 2017

LOUISBURG - Louise Brown Garrett, of Louisburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 23, surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was a daughter of the late Roy Jennings Brown, Jr. and Thelma Tatum Brown of Dunn, NC. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Garrett; brother, Roy Brown III, and her sister, Catherine Brown Gardner.

Louise, affectionately known by her family as "Mimi," is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John C. Garrett, Sr. of Louisburg; son John C. Garrett Jr. (Lynn) of Raleigh; daughter, Shannon Whitley (Tony) of Wake Forest; and her son, Bill Garrett (Dana) of Louisburg; grandchildren, Garrett Whitley, John Garrett III, Caroline Garrett, Will Garrett and Grace Garrett.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg from 7-8:30 p.m. and the funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Duke Memorial Baptist Church in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Duke Memorial Baptist Church.
