HERBERT G. PARRISH

KNIGHTDALE - Herbert "Herb" Garland Parrish, 65, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at his home. A memorial service was conducted Friday, July 6, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel in Knightdale, with the Rev. Raeford Wiggins officiating. Military honors were provided by the United States Air Force.

The family received relatives and friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.

He was born in Johnston County to the late Garland Parrish and Rada Carlisle Parrish. He retired from the N. C. Department of Correction in September of 2006.

Surviving: wife, Peggy Allen Parrish; daughter, Julie P. Beasley (Daylon) of Clayton; son, Ron Parrish (Kay) of Youngsville; half sister, Garlene P. Stephens; and one grandson.
