WAKE FOREST - Handy Black Jr., 65, died Monday, July 2, 2007 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Rolesville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery

He was born in Wake County to the late Handy Black Sr. and Betty M. Jeffreys.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the church.

Surviving: four daughters, Debra Black of Knightdale, Donna Black of the home, Nicole Upchurch of Connecticut, and Janet Rucker of Raleigh; four sons, Reginald Black of Wendell, Gregory Black of Louisburg, Kevin Upchurch and Kareen Jones, both of Connecticut.; brothers, Franklin Black and Ronald Black, both of wake Forest; sisters, Gwen Cooke of Wake Forest and Wilma Wells of Raleigh; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
