WENDELL - Oris Calvin Pearce, 63, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Rex Healthcare. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today (Saturday, July 7) at Beulah Christian Baptist church cemetery, 8225 Mitchell Mill Road, Zebulon.

The family will receive relatives and friends following the graveside service.

He was born in Wake County to the late Oscar Clyde Pearce and Doll Denton Pearce. He worked in commercial construction and farming.

Surviving: his friend and fiancé, Wende Darnell; daughter, Melinda Lois P. Shue of Raleigh; brother, Leroy Pearce of Wake Forest; sisters, Betty P. Rogers of Bunn, Alice P. Rice of Zebulon, Lois P. Bailey of Rolesville; and one granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pearce was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Denton, Arthur, Richard, James and Oscar Pearce, and his sister, Ruthie P. Perry.
