JOHN W. THEDIECK SR.
YOUNGSVILLE - John William Thedieck Sr., 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, in the Wake Forest Community Center, 133 W. Owen Ave.

A meal and fellowship will follow the service.

He was born to John G. Thedieck and Zella Bishop Thedieck in Ogden, Ill. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1952. He and his family moved to Raleigh in the 1960s. In the 1970s, he started his own real estate company, Northside Realty, and several home building companies including Summit Ridge Inc.

Surviving: one sister, Rosella Thedieck Warner of Destin, Fla.; his children, John William Thedieck Jr. (Joy) of Wake Forest, Julie T. Bartlett (Dennis) of Youngsville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Reynolds Thedieck, and one grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Durham VA Medical Center Chaplain Service, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC, in care of Chaplain John Oliver.
