FRANKLINTON - Garland Hugh Young, 56, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Cutchins Funeral Home in Franklinton, with Director Joseph B. Cutchins Jr. officiating. Interment followed in the New Liberty Baptist Church cemetery, Louisburg.
He was born in Franklin County to the late Elayard Young and Annie Coley Young. Young graduated from Franklin High School and worked in the plastic container industry for 37 years before his retirement in 2006.
Surviving: his wife, Gracie Young of the home; one brother, Elliot Young (Odessa) of Baltimore, Md.; two cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
