LOUISBURG - Daily Clemons D.C. Phillips, 85, died Wednesday morning, May 18, 2006. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Art Burkam officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was a son of the late Joseph Wilson and Bertha Thompson Phillips. He was a WWII Navy veteran.

Surviving: his wife, Betty H. Phillips; sons, Charles Phillips of Pulaski, Tenn., and Mike Phillips of Louisburg; sister, Ora Mae Boardman of Roanoke, Va.; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 4160 NC Hwy. 561, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Arrangements handled by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
