IRENE SASSER COLLINS
FRANKLINTON – Irene Sasser Collins, 80, a resident of Franklinton passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007.

She was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Jessie and Daisy Sasser. She was a member of the Franklinton United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Ruth Mercer Circle and a former Girls Scout leader.

Graveside services will be Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton by the Rev. Judi New. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Surviving are daughters, Donna Collins Cheatham (Dennis)of Franklinton, Lillie Diane Collins Keith (Jimmie) of Youngsville and Janet Collins Eldreth (Randy) of Sanford; nine grandchildren, Brian, David and Lindsay Hart, Barrett, Blair and Cameron Keith, Jessica Eldreth Walsh (Jason), Page and Bryce Eldreth. a sister Leona Sasser Barnhill of Fayetteville. Preceded in death by guardians Lillie and Mammern Rich.

Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to the Franklinton United Methodist Church, 109 North Main St., Franklinton, NC 27525.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 17 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Service, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton.

At other times the family will be at the home, 108 Lee Street, Franklinton. Arrangements by Franklin Funeral Service.
