MELVIN W. COLEMAN
LOUISBURG - Melvin W. Coleman, 60, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Rock Spring Baptist Church, with the Rev. Melton Tyson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Monroe, La., son of Flora Melvin Coleman and the late Hilbon Coleman. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of service. Mr. Coleman was employed with the U.S. Postal Service.

Surviving; his wife, Betty J. Coleman; daughters, Tracie Anne Morgan (Tom) of Orlando, Fla., Susan Gordon (Keith) of Louisburg; sisters, Terry Foote and Robyn Cutts, both of Alexandria, La.; brothers, Robert Coleman of Tifton, Ga., and Dale Coleman of Orlando, Fla.; mother, Flora Coleman of Alexandria, La.; two grandchildren.

Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, 34 Rock Spring Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
