REBECCA S. TAYLOR (May 27, 1940 – December 27, 2007)
LOUISBURG – Rebecca Smith Taylor, 67, 211 Ray-Beck Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long struggle with cancer.

Rebecca was a daughter of the late R.B. and Martha Hale Smith and a native of Narrows, VA.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Richland Creek Community Church, with Pastor David Sims officiating. Entombment will follow at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, H. Ray Taylor, formerly of Kinston; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne H. and David Carter of Youngsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Patti Crane of Louisburg, Bruce and Jolyn Crane of Wake Forest; stepson, Tom and Ann Taylor of Sophia; grandchildren, Christy Schmitt and husband, Brandon of Lynchburg, VA; Amanda Carter and Hunter Carter, both of Youngsville; Morgan Crane of Wake Forest; Adam Crane of Louisburg; great-granddaughter, Taylor Ann Crane of Lynchburg, VA; sister, Edna Barberro of Virginia Beach, VA.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Richland Creek Community Church, Legacy Fund, 3229 Burlington Mills Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

The family received friends 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin Street, Louisburg, and other times at the home.
