EDNA C. WILDER
ZEBULON - Edna Alford Caudill Wilder, 93, formerly of the Corinth community, died Friday morning, Feb. 29, 2008, in Lancaster, S.C. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 2, at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Johnston County, daughter of the late Walton and Alice Lassiter Alford. She worked with the Johnston County Public Library.

Surviving: her son, Andrew Caudill (Peggy) of Lancaster, S.C.; stepchildren, Doris Douglas and Lunell Hinton, both of Zebulon, Sarah Smith of Durham, Laura Strickland of Dunn, Charles Wilder of Garner; sister, Hilda Johnson of Troy; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; 19 step-grandchildren; 29 step-great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert A. Caudill and Leonard Wilder; stepdaughter, Janie Marks; stepson, Jimmy Wilder; brothers, Carton, W. Jay and Rupert Alford.

Flowers welcome or memorials may be made to the Smith-Bryan Chapter of NSDAR, 109 Castle Drive, Smithfield, NC 27577.
