RAEFORD - Alice Morris, 89, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Sentara Nursing Home in Norfolk, Va. Graveside services were conducted Saturday, March 8, at Raeford Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Mark Carver officiating.
She was born in Franklin County and lived in Hoke County, where she taught elementary school for 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam Cameron Morris.
Surviving: daughter, Sarah M. Moore (George) of Virginia Beach, Va.; son, John A. Morris (Betsy) of Durham; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
