SPRING HOPE - Sarah Melba Yarbrough, 76, died Monday morning, March 31, 2008. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg. Burial will follow in Bunn Memorial Gardens.

She was the daughter of the late William Alton and Lilly Cox Spikes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artur D. Yarbrough; daughters, Annette Yarbrough and Sheila Coates; son, Dwain Yarbrough.

Surviving: her daughters, Louise Wilder (Johnnie) of Spring Hope, Hazel Bullock (Guy) of Franklinton, Margaret Wiggins (Bill) of Youngsville, Janette Wiggins (Steve) of Youngsville; son, Harvey Yarbrough (Judy) of Reidsville; brother, Bobby Spikes of Kingsland, Ga.; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight (Wednesday, April 2) at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg, and other times at the home of Janette and Steve Wiggins, 1862 Hicks Road, Youngsville.
