DUNN - Georgia Grantham Faircloth, 92, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Dunn Rehab & Nursing Center. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 13, at Sansom Community Church, with the Rev. Jerome Pope officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Church cemetery.

She was born in Sampson County, daughter of the late Almon Grantham and Lillian Sinclair Grantham. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Faircloth, and second husband, James Harvey Faircloth; daughters, Shelvy Bell and Martha Whitley; brothers, Lisbon and Barthel Grantham; and a sister, Mexie West.

Surviving: sons, James C. Faircloth (Pauline) of Mabank, Texas, David G. Faircloth (Linda) of Virginia Beach, Va., Gene R. Faircloth (Martha Sue) of Spivey’s Corner, Joe Faircloth (Georgia) of Kipling, Charles D. Faircloth (Gloria) of Zuni, Va., Ronnie R. Faircloth (Donna) of Chaplin, S.C.; daughters, Judy Hilliard (Johnny) of Youngsville, and Kathy Faircloth of Fuquay-Varina; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchilden.

Memorials may be made to Sansom Community Church, 2896 Arrowhead Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
