HILDA S. HOLLOWAY
YOUNGSVILLE - Hilda Smith Holloway, 58, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest.

The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

She was the daughter of Juanita K. Smith and the late Russell Vinson. She was a graduate of Cary High School and Virginia State University, and was employed at IBM as a systems analyst for some 34 years. She became the First Lady of Friendship Chapel Baptist Church and served the entire church family for more than 25 years.

Surviving: husband, the Rev. Dr. Enoch E. Holloway of Youngsville; mother, Juanita K. Smith of Raleigh; stepmother, Pathenia Vinson of Smithfield; one son, Enoch E. Holloway r. (Valeria) of Raleigh; two daughters, Sharon Tanner (Les) and Jenelle Preston (Jason), all of Raleigh; brother, George Hinton of Raleigh; and four grandchildren.
