LOUISBURG - Esther C. Barton, 85, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Wake Medical Center.
Graveside services were conducted Monday, June 16, at Flat Rock Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Scott Parkison officiating.
She was born in Lenoir County, the daughter of the late Ella Hinson Carter and Mack Carter, and was married to Andrew Barton, who preceded her in death.
Surviving: her daughter, Betsy King (Thomas) of Louisburg; sons, Tom “Tommy” Barton (Pam) of New Bern, Billy Barton (Connie) of Clayton, and Larry Barton of Louisburg; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
