FRANKLINTON - Coyie Herbert Jeans Sr., 91, formerly of 603 Mitchell Ave., Franklinton, died Saturday, June 10, at Louisburg Nursing center. A graveside service was conducted Monday, June 12, at Pearces Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Cottrell officiating.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Bud and Maggie Jeans, and was a retired farmer. Mr. Jeans was married to Lucille Johnson Jeans, who preceded him in death.

Surviving: his daughter, Mary Jeans Stroud (Graham) of Franklinton; sons, Coy H. Jeans Jr. (Ann) of Old Fort, and Ted Jeans (Ann) of Louisburg; sister, Avis Seymour of Zebulon; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pearces Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Pearces Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.
