LARRY H. GRIFFIN
May 22, 1944 – June 24, 2008
LOUISBURG – Larry Hinton Griffin, 64, beloved husband and father, of Louisburg, died Tuesday evening surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Larry was a son of the late Ben and Maggie Lee Griffin. He was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church where he served as head deacon and was a member of the choir. He was founder and a partner of Louisburg Hardwood, Inc. and a member of Louisburg Shrine Club where he served as past president. He was loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.

A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Louisburg Baptist Church, with Dr. Reggie Rushing officiating.

Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda K. Griffin; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Ralph Daniels of Clayton; sons and daughters-in-law, Alton and Jodie Griffin, Mark and Tracey Griffin, all of Louisburg; loved and adored grandchildren, Meri Ashlen, Brittany, Hailee and Chandler, Janna, Linzey and Griffin; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Paul Bader; brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Becky Griffin, all of Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 S. Boylan Ave., Raleigh, NC 27603.

The family would like to thank special friends Ben and Dee Gardner and they would also like to thank Dr. Stephen Tremont and his staff of the Cancer Centers of the Carolinas.

The family received friends immediately following the service.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
