ERNEST C. TOLMAN
FUQUAY-VARINA - Ernest Carlton Tolman, 72, died Sunday, July 13, 2008. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 16) at the Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church, 100 Judd Parkway, SE, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Centrum.

He was a music teacher for 33 years with the Watkins Glen School District in New York.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean D. Tolman. He was active in the Eastern NC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Disease Association during her six-year battle.

Surviving: wife, Linda Riley Tolman; daughters, Lori T. Hendrickson (Mike) of Raleigh, Robin T. Kendall (Richard) of Franklinton; son, Ryan E. Tolman (Angela) of Charlotte; sister, Suellen Collins (Steven) of Hannawa Falls, N.Y.; brother, Fay Tolman (Nadine) of Toronto, Canada; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, Eastern N.C. Chapter, 400 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC.
