EDWARD G. PARRISH
CASTALIA - Edward Goodman Parrish, 76, died Thursday morning, July 17, 2008 at his home. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Saturday, July 19) at Red Bud Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.

He was a son of the late Edward Harvey and Annie Bett Smith Parrish and was an Army veteran.

Surviving: his wife, Norma Jean Parrish; daughter, Sherry P. Carpenter (Keith) of Castalia; sons, Greg Parrish (Brenda) of Castalia, Edward Glenn Parrish (Liza) of Warsaw; sister, Janet Mitchell (Doug) of Castalia; brother, Billy G. Parrish (Judy) of Louisburg; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1284 NC Hwy. 58, Castalia, NC 27816.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
