DOLLIE L. WHITLEY
ZEBULON - Dollie Lee Whitley, 85, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008 at Rex Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 20) at Union Hope Baptist Church, with burial in the Murray cemetery.

She was born in Nash County, daughter of the late Samuel and Ila Perry Winstead, and was the widow of Herbert Whitley.

Surviving: children, Donnie Whitley (Phyllis) of Rocky Mount, Dot Jones (Tony) of Zebulon, Linda Pearce (Dennis) of Knightdale, Chester Whitley (Mary) of Middlesex, Margie Starnes (Linwood) of Wendell, Bernice Saunders (Donald) of Middlesex, and Denise Medlin of Knightdale; sisters, Lizzie Murray of Rolesville, Velora Leslie of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell.
