RALPH F. FAULKNER
RALEIGH - Ralph Fleming Faulkner, 75, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 17) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh.

He was born in Franklin County on the farm where he was raised. He served in the armed forces as an MP during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist at Westinghouse for 35 years and also worked at ABB and BMI.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and other times at the home, 3919 Butler Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27604.

Surviving: wife, Betty Jean Faulkner; son, Tim Faulkner of Knightdale; daughter, Karen Chreptak (Mike) of Garner; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Bertha Murray; his daughter, Phyllis Barbrey; brothers, Clemmon Faulkner and Morris Murray; sisters, Nellie Ayscue and Florene Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary’s Street, Fourth Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605.
