R. GLENN PHELPS
LOUISBURG – Robert Glenn Phelps, 82, died Friday night, Dec. 5, 2008. Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Jay Tilley officiating.

He was a son of the late George Harold and Eleanor Hudson Phelps. He was a native of Franklin County and a World War II Army veteran.

He was predeceased by a sister, Rachel P. Debnam.

Surviving: wife Doris L. Phelps; son, Wayne Phelps (Mary); daughters, Pam Ransdell (Joe), Brenda Edmonds (Dean), Tammy Phelps and Tim Moore, all of Louisburg; sister, Alice Hight of Louisburg; brothers, Charlie Phelps of Henderson and Everet Phelps of Louisburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements handled by Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg.
