PHILLIP E. MCHALE
YOUNGSVILLE - Phillip E. McHale, 82, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008.

A celebration of his life will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 at the Wake Forest United Methodist Church where his family will receive condolences from 6 - 7 p.m.

He was born in Pennsylvania and served in the Navy in World War II. His career was varied, from a backhoe operator in Michigan and California to building computers at IBM, RTP, to selling lawn tractors at Home Depot in Raleigh and Wake Forest.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia; sons, Phil (Sharon) and Tom McHale; and daughter, Jeanine (Arthur) Towne; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that memorials be made in his name to the Wake Forest United Methodist Church Garden Fund, 905 Main Street., Wake Forest, N.C. 27587.
