HARRIET A. BURTON
WARRENTON - Harriet Aronson Burton, 92, of Warrenton and Louisburg, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Littleton.

A native of South Barre, Vt., she was born to the late Karl Aronson and Matilda Sands Aronson. She worked as a registered nurse for more than 30 years at Warren General Hospital in Warrenton and was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church for 57 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hudson Burton Jr., and her daughter, Sarah Burton Stephens.

Surviving: daughters, Eliza Burton of Greensboro and Olivia B. Kemp (Bob) of Henderson; son, James Hudson Burton III (Debbie) of Louisburg; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a niece.

The family will greet friends following the service in the church parlor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, 210 North Main St., Warrenton, NC 27589.
