ERNEST C. WALL
KNIGHTDALE - Ernest Commodore “E. C.” Wall, 84, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at UNC Hospital. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 11) at Faith Baptist Church, 2728 Marks Creek Road, Knightdale, with Pastor Mick Bowen officiating. Entombment will be at Knightdale United Methodist Church cemetery, 62 First Avenue, Knightdale.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church and other times at the home.

He was born in Wake County to the late Gary Lee Wall and Mary Elizabeth “Mamie” Clark Wall. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was the owner and operator of E.C. Wall Plumbing Company for 53 years.

Surviving: wife, Geraldine “Gerry” Wright Wall; son, Neal Crawford Wall of Salisbury; daughters, Gerald Diane W. Price (Lloyd) of Wake Forest, Elizabeth “Libby” W. Stancil (Willis) of Knightdale; sisters, Lawanna W. McLean of Knightdale and Bonnie Wall of Youngsville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Wall, and a sister, Margaret Wall Trent.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International, Raleigh East Camp, P. O. Box 17373, Raleigh, NC 27619.
