KAREN K. BARBER
May 13, 1952 – February 20, 2009
LOUISBURG – On February 20, 2009, Karen was reunited with her daughter, Brandy Sneeden Khamaiseh, who passed away in February of 2008.

Karen was born in Wilmington, NC on May 13, 1952. She is survived by her mother, Joan Wood Van Tilburg of Raleigh, NC, and her father, Ray Durward Kelley of Newport, NC. Also surviving are her children, brothers, and grandchildren; son, Stacy Sneeden and his wife Jennifer of Delray Beach, FL; daughters, Dr. Jessica Sneeden of Davis, CA, Leslie Barber and her fiancé Jeremy May of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Michael Kelley and his wife Susan of Zebulon, NC, Gregory Kelley and his wife Pattie of Cape Carteret, NC; grandchildren, Austin, Natasha, Wyatt, Kiersten, Brandy, Jacob, Logan, Morgan, Kathem, Jodat, Tyler, Emily, and Connor.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg, NC.
