This photo from Associate Editor Asher Johnson, second from right kneeling, was taken in early 1944 at NAS Cecil Field, near Jacksonville, Fla. These pilots and crewmen eventually became part of Bombing Squadron 87. They are beside a Douglas-Dauntless, a twin-seat carrier based dive bomber.
