FRANKLINTON -- Area agencies arrested a trio of suspects, including a man wanted for attempted first degree murder, within a few hours time in separate operations. First, at about 11 a.m. on Dec. 23, officers arrested a Vance County couple accused of defrauding a Food Lion in Franklinton.
LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mary Willie Wardrick Richardson, 82, who died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. at Rocky Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Patricia Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the Richardson family cemetery.
