LOUISBURG - Ann Price Horton, 72, of Louisburg, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 24, 2015 at Rex Hospital. A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Saturday Feb. 28, at New Hope Christian Church, with the Rev. Steve Barham officiating. Burial was private.

LOUISBURG - Mildred Murphy Bowers, 86, moved on to Heaven on March 2, 2015 at Transitions Life-C are in Raleigh, NC surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 1, 1928 in Louisburg, NC to Louise Yarborough Parrish and Percy Gray Murphy, Sr. Mildred attended Gold Sand High School. And upon her graduation, she worked as a secretary at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC. Later in life she became the secretary of Gold Sand High School and retired from the Franklin County School system in 1989.
