Franklin Medical Center, better known locally as Franklin Regional Medical Center, is for sale. The hospital's owner, Novant Health, Inc., revealed Thursday morning that it plans to "issue a request for proposal" for the hospital -- meaning the pared-down facility has been placed on the open market. Novant said that it is "seeking a qualified buyer for Franklin Medical Center to assume operations of the hospital and provide continued access to quality health care for area residents."
WAKE FOREST - Hurley Brantley Sr., 83, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Hillside Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Brantley family cemetery, Middlesex.
LOUISBURG - Vivian "Bea" Floyd Rogers, 103, died Wednesday May 6, 2015 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Bunn Town Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. William H. Haley officiating.
