NEWPORT - Danny Lynn Massengill, 62, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at Wake Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Dunn. An additional memorial service will be held at the beach at a later date.
LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Jennie "Tennie" Evans, 76, who died Monday, Dec. 21, will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Castalia, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
WAKE FOREST - Margaret Patricia Bolling Burnett, 88, of Wake Forest, NC, died Sunday, December 20, 2015. She was born in Winston-Salem on October 27, 1927 to the late James Robert and Artie Elam Bolling. Margaret was also preceded in death by her brothers, Rudy, Paul, Wilson, and Harry Bolling.
