LOUISBURG -- After deliberating for less than an hour, a jury found a Franklin County man guilty of sexually exploiting a 17-year-old Wake County girl with disabilities. Following a four-day trial, Dean Paul White was found guilty Friday afternoon of second degree and third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Wake and Franklin County authorities arrested White in March 2013 after investigating allegations that the girl ran away from her Wake Forest home.
RALEIGH - Mamie P. Privette, 68, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Raleigh. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 8, at Grace A.M.E. Church in Raleigh. Eulogy was by Overseer R.W. Rowland.
