OXFORD--Emma Leigh Stallings, 94, began her eternal life on July 23, 2018. She was the second of three girls born to the late Walter Edward and Emma Duke Strange on December 19, 1923 in Franklin County, NC.
FRANKLINTON - Thelma Annie Coleman Merritt, 98, died Friday, July 20, 2018. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 23, at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason Street, Franklinton, with the Rev. Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.
HOLLISTER--Funeral services for Walter Mac Evans, 63, who died Thursday, July 19, 2018, will be held Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hollister, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Church cemetery.
