COL. LARRY EDWARD TETTERTON (RET.)
January 24, 1936 - August 28, 2018

LOUISBURG - Larry E. Tetterton died peacefully on August 28, 2018 at the age of 82. Larry was raised in Bethel by his parents, Jesse and Marena Andrews Tetterton. Larry grew up appreciating the value of hard work and the importance of serving God, country, family, and others.

FRANKLINTON--David Lawrence Wilder, 62, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018. A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 7, at 6 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason Street in Franklinton, and the family will receive friends after the service until 7:30 pm.

ROCKY MOUNT--Funeral services for Elton Junior Richardson, 31, who died Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, will be held Sunday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Missionary Church in Enfield, with the Rev. Linwood Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Tilman Lynch cemetery.

Such was the theme of Thursday's backyard rivalry football showdown between Southern Nash and host Bunn in non-conference action.
Thanks to Bunn's drain-the-play-clock strategy, Southern Nash was only able to run 13 plays from scrimmage in the first half.
