OBITUARIES

EDDIE E. EASON

FRANKLINTON--Eddie Edward Eason, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 after years of declining health. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, with Pastors Carl Hunter and Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial followed at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest.

JOSEPH "BRO" KEARNEY

SUITLAND, MD - Funeral services for Joseph "Bro" Kearney, 81, of Suitland, MD, formerly of Franklinton, who died Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 12 p.m. in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg, with the Rev. Hosie Starr officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

OPHELIA WADE DAY

Ophelia Wade Day, 95, died Sunday, December 22, 2019. Born December 6, 1924 in Alamance County, NC and grew up in Person County, NC. She lived in Louisburg, NC from 1951 until 2017. She was the daughter of Robert Ellis and Mary Turner Wade. She was the wife of the late Durell C. Day of the NC State Highway Patrol. She was predeceased by her siblings Eugene Wade, Ernest Wade, and Irene Wade Williams.
