Touched By Hope
Hope Lutheran Church 3525 Rogers Road Wake Forest, NC 27587 (919) 554-8109 7th Annual Free Community Medical Clinic Coming to Wake Forest Wake Forest, North Carolina – October 17, 2017 – Hope Lutheran Church’s free medical clinic, “Touched by Hope” is coming Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 8:00AM-1:00PM. The clinic offers free medical, dental, and vision screenings, a warm meal, clothing, food pantry, children’s books and activities, and more! All services are provided for anyone in the community, free of charge, no appointment necessary. In 2016, over 150 volunteers and medical professionals donated their time and talents by assisting 275 guests. “It has been a difficult year for my family with only one unsteady income. It is comforting to know that people do care in the community,” says one guest, “The members of the church were very warm and welcoming at the tables and the meals were delicious.” Touched by Hope clinic is made possible by dedicated volunteers who spend a great deal of time planning, preparing, and praying for a successful event. Pastor Lew Upchurch, Associate Pastor of Hope Lutheran Church, believes the success is due to the rewards received by both volunteers and guests. He says, "Touched by Hope is simply one real and tangible way we can follow Christ's command to love our neighbors." Hope Lutheran Church & Preschool is located at 3525 Rogers Road in Heritage, Wake Forest. Visit www.hopelutheranwf.org or call 919-554-8109 for more information or to volunteer.
