Intro to Documentary Photography
Join us for an introduction to documentary photography! Learn how to create compelling images for creative storytelling using your unique perspective. Participants will talk about photography, tools, and travel around the Imperial Centre’s campus creating art in their own backyard! Students are responsible for providing their own camera (point and shoot, DSLR, cell phone) and lunch. Intro to Charcoal Drawing
Learn the essentials of drawing with charcoal! Using still lifes as the subject, students practice techniques including, line, contour, subtractive drawing to build foundational skills. Start with loose and simple sketches to warm up hand-eye coordination, and move onto layering tones to achieve depth and visual interest. All materials provided or bring your own tools and sketchbook; no experience necessary.
