MARGARET S. GROOM
LOUISBURG - Margaret Streett Grafton Groom, 98, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010. Funeral service was Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Grace Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wes Bailey officiating.

She was born in Harford County, Md., a daughter of the late Charles Robie and Anna Mary Pyle Grafton, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Groom. She was a resident of Maryland until moving to Louisburg in 2004.

Surviving: sons, Richard Groom (Patricia) of Louisburg and Bob Groom (Betty) of Flagstaff, Ariz.; sister, Virginia Mayers of Towson, Md.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
